Hernando Audubon Birding Trip to Cypress Lakes Preserve: Saturday, October 26: Meet at 8 a.m. at the park entrance, 33597 Ridge Manor Blvd. (at Olancha Road) in Ridge Manor, Hernando County. Don’t block the gate, and park well off the road. Jim King, retired land manager for Hernando County’s Environmentally Sensitive Lands, will lead a walk at this seldom visited county park. He will speak briefly to introduce us to this 331-acre property. Then he will guide us about 1.5 miles on the Florida National Scenic Trail as we look for birds and wildflowers.
