North Shore Birding Festival
January 17th-21st, 2019
The North Shore Birding Festival, January 17-21, 2019, is perfect for people wanting to learn more from well-known, knowledgeable birding guides. Add to your life list while exploring a unique birding area. Participate in field trips on the 20,000-acre Lake Apopka North Shore, managed by the St. Johns River Water Management District. Trips will search for as many as possible of the 360+ species documented, plus recently sighted rarities. Timing is perfect to see a multitude of overwintering and resident species.
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night attend exciting keynote talks with meet-and-greets and dinners on Friday and Saturday.
The Birding Festival is held in the northwest part of the 20,000 acre property (from the McDonald Canal area off SR 448). Orange Audubon Society has rolled out a fabulous lineup of field trips over Friday, Saturday Sunday, and Monday, January 18-21, 2019 that will soon be posted on www.orangeaudubonfl.org/festival. Plus the free kickoff keynote is Thursday night January 17th. If any questions, contact Deborah at 407-637-2525 or festival@orangeaudubonfl.org.
