The 17 mile red trail, suitable for hiiking, biking and horse riding, is located within the Southwest Preserve and can be accessed via the Fellsmere Rd. entrance (CR-512), located 1 mile west of I-95. Look for Eastern Towhee, Eastern Meadowlarks, Wild Turkey and Northern Bobwhites. The best viewing is along the three-mile Scrub Jay Link, which cuts through large areas of open sandy prairie with scrubby flat woods and oak scrub.
